Being the Only Goat on the Farm

January 14, 2018

Hi there -- I'm Cooper the goat, biggest goat you'll likely ever see! I'm a large Boer goat and my breed was developed in South Africa in the early 1900s for meat production. Fortunately, for me I wasn't eaten ;-). My life was spared when Polly rescued me from the MSPCA and since, I've been living a fun life with my buddies here at Wildstar Farm.

As an only goat, having previously been on stall duty with Glory and Pippin, I currently share my stall with Hugo, a Shetland pony. I boss him around all of the time because he's smaller than me and I love to rough it up -- but he's a tough competitor and I really like the little guy. The other horses seem to get most of the attention around here but sometimes, my good friend Matt takes me for walks on a lead rope and I feel like I'm one of the herd. Goat Gratitude rather than Goat Attitude -- that's my motto!
