HORSES AND OTHER ANIMALS

Our horses and other animals are our partners. The benefits of spending time with these incredible beings cannot be overstated and we are lucky to have them in our lives.

DIESEL

DENVER

DOLCE

DolceNew_edited_edited.jpg

Dolce is the newest horse on the farm. At 16.3 hands, she is the "baby" of the herd at only 5 years old. Just like her name, Dolce is very sweet.

Diesel the horse

Diesel is a big boy with a big heart. He's a cross between a Gypsy Cob and a Clydesdale. He's our "steady Eddie" gelding and loves everyone and everything (especially food)!

Denny is our barn manager Sam's "pride and joy." He's the youngest horse in the barn but already a superstar in the dressage ring.

GLORY

HAILEY

HUGO

GLORY.webp

Our "glorious" Gypsy Cob Morning Glory has a heart of gold. She's the proud mother of Pippin and the perfect mount for anyone aged 2 to 102!

HAILEY.webp

Hailey is a Norwegian Fjord with the classic two-color mane, stout build and striped legs. Hailey loves to nuzzle anyone and everyone.

Hugo.jpeg

Hugo the Shetland Pony is specially trained for visiting people who can benefit from animal-assisted therapy. Although Hugo is small, he has a huge personality with lots of love and comfort to give. Hugo and Polly are a registered therapy team with the national Pet Partners organization.

LUNA

PATRICK

PIPPIN

LUNA.webp

Luna was high-level show jumper in her youth and is now a fox hunter. Luna is super friendly and wants to say "hi" to anyone who visits the farm. Although Luna is too big for our riders, she loves getting TLC from our participants.

Patrick is our senior citizen and schoolmaster. His long graceful stride makes him a pleasure to ride. In addition to being an all-round good guy, Patrick’s background includes many years of adventures with the local Norfolk Hunt Club.

RITZ

ROMEO

Pippin the horse

Pippin (aka Wildstar Eclipse) is the "home-grown" baby of the farm who was born in 2014 on Cinco de Mayo. It’s hard to keep Pippin away, particularly when you have treats in your pocket. Like his mother Glory, Pippin is an Gypsy Cob.

RUBY

Romeo, Romeo, where art thou? At Horse SenseAbility, of course! Romeo is a Fell pony, which is the same type of pony that Queen Elizabeth rode in her later years.

ROMEO~mv2.webp

At only 13.1 hands, Ruby is the perfect pony for our smallest riders. Ruby is a Gypsy Cob with a super sweet temperament. She's particularly cute when she wiggles her nose!

Ritz_edited.jpg

Ritz is a Thoroughbred/Friesian cross whose formal name is Akris. She joined the herd in 2025 and is our barn manager Sam's "partner in crime." Ritz and Sam compete in dressage and are working toward their Bronze medal.

JOHNNY CASHEW

MYRTLE & WILLIE

JC lives in his palatial "rabbit resort" and loves having visitors. He particularly likes to be stroked gently on his ears and enjoys his favorite snack--blueberries!

Johnny Cashew the rabbit
Myrtle and Willie the goats

Myrtle and Willie are a dynamic duo of Nubian goats that keep each other, Hugo and the rest of us entertained.

PEANUT

PATSY

Peanut the cat

Peanut's name reflects her petite size. Although Peanut doesn't like to be cooped up, she's happy to hang out with you on her terms. Peanut was adopted from the Animal Rescue League and has transitioned from being feral to being a total love bug.

Patsy the cat

Patsy and Peanut have a “love/hate” relationship like siblings. Sometimes you’ll find them side by side; other times you’ll hear them hiss. Like Peanut, Patsy is a stray who has really warmed up since she came to Horse SenseAbility.
